\nAbout the elected HSR
\ nEmpl oyees are entitled to be represented in relation to health and safety matt ers. An HSR is the vital link in the communication process between the emp loyees and the employer in relation to occupational health and safety.
\nAn HSR represents the employees in their Designated Work Group (DWG) by raising\, monitoring and resolving OHS matters with their employe r.
\nThe key factor to remember is that an elected HSR represe nts the interests of the employees. It is not an appointed position and do es not have any associated responsibility for meeting the health and safet y obligations of the employer.
